Monday, October 29th

Yesterday (Monday) instead of desensitizing and other stuff like that, I wanted to see what Valley would do if i put a saddle on her. So I got a saddle pad and put it on her while she was eating grass. I rubbed it on her back and neck, and she was fine.
So I got my old English Saddle (definitely not in its best condition) and put it on her back. I think she was curious on what I was putting on her back, but not for long. She just went back to eating her grass.
After walking her around with it on her back, I decided to get the girth and see what she would do if I put it on. So I went back to the shed, and got it. I put it on her very loose. She was fine. So I kept tightning it. One knotch at a time. Until it was almost as tight as if I was going to ride her. And she did fine! - but only cause she was eating grass. When I tried to tighten it when she was tied up, she didn't like it. But she was fine when she was eating. So when I ride her for the first time, I will get on while she's eating grass! LOL.

Love,
Sarah
