Yesterday. . .

Hello!
I would have written about yesterday, yesterday, but I didn't have a chance to get on the computer. I already forgot mostly what happen. Right now I am drawing a blank. OK, I remember now:

I didn't go out till like 5:30 or 6:00PM and it had been raining all day. It was almost dark when I went outside, and it was getting kind of cold. When I first caught her, I was bad and basically immediately started desensitizing to the lead rope- BAD MISTAKE!! (not the desensitizing part, the immediately starting part) I guess since it had been a really rainy day, it made me in a bad mood, plus desensitizing to the lead rope isn't my favorite ground work exercise. After a few minutes of me getting frustrated (bad me! *spank*) I finally stopped, and started rubbing Valley as I thought to myself, 'OK Sarah, the reason she isn't doing as good as usual and the reason I'm not do very good, is because I started working to soon. And because it is a rainy late afternoon.' Then I kept telling myself, "It's just a nice dewy morning, the sun is just coming up (it could look like that, because the sun was really just going down), and the water on the ground is just some dew and a little bit of rain from the night before." So after a few minutes of that, I got myself back into a good mood.
So I then acted like I had just caught her and like the other stuff had never happened. So I petted Valley, and blew in her nose, and flexed her some, until I knew Valley and I were happy again. So then I started desensitizing her to the lead rope. She still acted up some but that's because she dislikes like the lead rope desensitizing exercise about as much as I do. Ha ha!
After that I desensitized her to the handy stick and string, and by then it had gotten almost all the way dark, and it had gotten pretty cold! It was like mid 50's! And I was wearing short sleeves and shorts!
It started raining a medium rain. And I could have finished a few minutes sooner than I did, but Valley wouldn't show me a sign or her relaxing right then because she saw my dad walking towards me with a flashlight. If dad hadn't been walking there at that moment Valley would have looked more relaxed, but she had her head up a tad, and her ears pricked forward. I finished when dad made up to were I was, and I let her go, and headed back to the house to take a shower and get warmed up a bit! Well, I'll go ahead and write about today (Tuesday, I was just writing about Monday). It's taken me almost an hour to write this!

Love,
Sarah
