Friday, Febuary 8th

Just as always, after Valley finished eating her food, I took her down by the lake to eat grass. Well, the other day, mom bought Chloe some more horse feed. So I got the empty bag, and took it to where Valley was eating grass, and with my right hand (I was on her left side, and my left hand was holding the leadrope) I started to rotate the bag (which made a LOT of noise :D). Valley kind of just put her head up, and was a little scared of it. She started to walk in circles, but when I made her look at me, she would mostly stop walking. After like a minute at the most, she stopped, and put her head down looking for grass (but she didn't find anything besides leaves and moss, because when she saw me bringing the feed bag [she didn't know it was empty:D] her direction she walked up to me, and I wasn't standing in a spot with grass...), so I stopped twirilng the feed bag, and petted her. Then I rubbed the bag all over Valley's back, and like before, it made a LOT of noise. But she hardly noticed it. At first she was a little uneasy about it, then she realized it wasn't going to hurt her, so she relaxed and looked for grass again. I was so happy how well she was doing, and so I rubbed the bag up and down her neck. She did better than she did with it on her back! So I moved on to her front legs. She did even BETTER! I was like, "WOW!" I thought for sure that she would freak, but she just stood there, and after a few seconds, she put her head down looking for grass (I think, I can't remember. I think she looked for grass every time, but not sure. Can't remember). So I moved on to her back
legs. She didn't do any different then when I rubbed the feed bag up and down and all around her front legs. So, as you could imagine, I was a happy girl. So, happily, I moved to her other side (it didn't really take long to do either side), and did the exact same thing as I did on the other side, and she was fine with it.
Before I put her away, I layed across her back both ways, and sat on her regular, with the leadrope like reins. I flexed her twice, hopped off, and put her back.

I was gonna tell you about an Equine Educational Seminar that I went to last night, but Luke needs the computer, and I got to go get ready for a thing at church, which I will write about later on my other blog.
