Not to terribly much-actually a lot!

Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in like FOREVER. I have been bad and haven't been doing NEAR as much as I need to. I have finally finished my Clinton Anderson book, which I will read again, and again, and again, etc.......... . I was going to work with her today, but it rained like mad. I did a LITTLE yesterday. I would have probably done more, but my friend J.W. (her initials) came over for a long time, and it rained also. But I brought Valley and Chloe up, and we groomed both of them. We did their manes (they have the same color manes) and it looked Beautiful. But the only thing you could tell we did to Chloe was comb her mane, because she has cushing disease, so she has a long REALLY curly coat, and it was wet too, so it didn't do anything when Juliana (j.w.) groomed her. But Valley looked nice because she was dirty before and i brushed her, and combed out her mane.

DOG! I just remembered, I forgot to hoof pick them! They need it. Oh well, I will do it HOPEFULLY tomorrow, but I don't know if I will have time (i should unless i goof around in school which is really no excuse), and it might be raining. If it isn't raining i will groom her but if it's still really wet on the ground I won't be able to work with her.

Anyways, back to what I was saying; the way I worked with Valley was when I brought her up to groom her, she wouldn't stand still so I untied her, and made her go around in some circles and a few other things (i think, it may have just been lunging) then I tied her back up, and she stood still mostly the whole time. And when I went to put her up (i put Chloe up first while I left her behind tied up and she didn't like that to much), she was acting up, and so I had to lunge her a LOT before I would even get close to her. I had to keep her at a distance 'cause she looked like she was going to ram into anything that got in her way. I was getting a little worried because it had been raining, and Valley was loping in circles. She slipped once while she was loping in a circle, and after that she just jogged. I was glad she didn't get hurt. I got her in the pasture (I used my Clinton Anderson handy stick to keep her from getting to close while I was opening the gate) and she wasn't any better, actually, she was worse. I now promised myself (sorta) that I will not let Valley go until she is relaxed, and lets me walk up to her still relaxed, and lets me take off the halter without her pulling her head away (which rarely happens).
Anyways, when I took the halter off, she ran up to the barn with her tail held high. She ran back and forth several times. Once when she stopped, she looked at me, and SLOWLY put her tail down, then took off again. Well I'll post A.S.A.P. which will probably be tomorrow.

Love,
Sarah
