Hey you guys,
I'm really bad, so I haven't been working with Valley, since like, I don't remember:(. But Luckily I see her and Chloe everyday, cause now I'm feeding them everyday. I think I told ya'll before that we are feeding the horses up at the shed again.
So I get to spend time with Valley (and Chloe!). I brush Valley everyday. Here's the routine:
1. Take my Rubber Curry Comb and do circular motions to get the dirt and extra hair out.
2. Take my Dandy Brush (brush with stiff bristles) and brush her all over except the head and legs (and of course not the mane & tail).
3. Take my. . .uh. . .I forgot the name of it. But the brush with SOFT bristles and do the same thing as what I did with the Dandy Brush, but I go over the legs
4. Then I hoof pick her front feet out.
I will do her back feet when she's ready, but I don't think she is yet.
Yesterday, (I was stupid and didn't feed them until it was almost dark) I was trying to brush one of Valley's back legs, and she kicked at me. So I immediately untied her, took her away from her food, and flexed her (I didn't know what else to do! Jessica, you need to help me with that!). Everytime she tried to walk, I flexed her. I also made her back up some. After a minute or two, I took her back to her food.
Well, that's about all! Oh wait! Um, Mr. Lynn is a guy I've been pet-sitting for (Have I told you about him? I can't remember, and I'm to lazy to check). He has 2 horses. Bob, and Cheif. Cheif has won quite a few awards in --- I can't remember! But anyway, his daughter Riley, is going to give me a horse riding lesson! At MY house, on Chloe! The reason it will be on Chloe, because they aren't sure how Cheif would do. Or whatever. Ok: It will be safer most likely, if I ride Chloe. But I'm embarresed to show them Chloe! And our tack!
Love,
Sarah
