Finally working/kicked/Bully

Hey Guys!

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, I just haven't been working with Valley, so I haven't had anything to post about. But today I finally worked with her!

I started with 'The Hula Hoop'. I take my handy stick and draw an imaginary circle around me, the radius of the handy stick when I stretch it out with my arm. If any part of her comes in the 'hula hoop', I gently tap that part of her with the handy stick in a rhythmic way (1,2,3,4), if she doesn't move, tap a little harder, counting 1,2,3,4, if she still doesn't move, tap even harder, ect.. until she moves, and gives me two eyes. She did pretty good with that, so I didn't do that for long.

Then I moved on to desensitizing to the lead rope. Valley did good on that, like she usually does. But once or twice she was running into me, so I pushed on her shoulder with my knee to get her to move, which she hates when I do that. She decided to do something about it. So, she kicked me. Her back left hoof hit me in the upper leg, and then hit my hip. But it didn't really hurt. I still got dirt on my leg where she kicked me. Lol.

Dad decided to take her from there. He lunged her, and backed her up for a bit, then gave her back to me. I walked her around in a few circles, and then lunged her for a few minutes, then finished desensitizing to the lead rope, and desensitized her to the handy stick and string.

I fed her (I fed Chloe before I started working with Valley), and let her and Chloe graze as usual. My dad and grandpa were in the pasture getting Bully (our bulls name) in our neighbors trailer, cause tomorrow he goes to the butcher. :( I'm attached to him, and I don't want him to go!! I'm the only one that thinks he's semi-nice. Everybody else thinks he's mean. :( He's only meanish when he wants food that someone has.

Anyways, well, I guess that's all, so... bye!
