My First Police Escort!!!

Yep, you heard that right. My first police escort! Now your probably wondering why I am putting that on my Valley blog.

The Reason: Cuz it has to do with Valley!

So ya know how Valley has been gettin out, right? Well, I went out to put the horses in the back pasture (I've been doing that at night, cuz Valley only gets out right as it gets dark not during the day), and of course Valley was not in the pasture. So I went back to the house, got the halter and lead rope (I brought a little horse feed too), and mom and I got it the van to drive over to Valley's usual spot.

Right as we were pulling out of the driveway, we saw a police car about to pull into the driveway. We both stopped and rolled down our windows. Mom said, "Are you coming to tell us our horse is out?" and he asked if we had a white horse. We said yes, and that she was probably in her usual spot (which she was). So the police man said "I'll follow , you over there." So we drove across the street to a neighborhood. When we drove onto the other street, there was another police man! We all three drove the like 10 seconds to where Valley usually is. I got out of the van and started over there with the bucket with food and halter and lead rope. Both police men had their 'spotlights' (just a flashlight I think) shining for me, so it was easy to see :)

I rattled the bucket with food, and of course Valley came trotting over. She ate the food while I put the halter and lead rope on her. Now that I think about it, it probably wasn't a very good idea to give her food, cause then she might start getting out so she can get food...

Anywho, so I started walking her back over to the road. The police men said that they'd follow us home. So I started walking Valley back home, with two police men right behind me, WITH their lights on (no siren though; think GOD!) AND their spotlights. Mom followed behind them FYI. So we crossed the fairly busy street (i looked both ways :D) then walked over to our house. The police men didn't go up the driveway, but stayed at the bottom shining their spotlights for us.

I took Valley to the back pasture to lock her up. Chloe didn't follow (which was unusual cause I had food), so I just decided to lock only Valley down at the back pasture. That worked pretty well.

Well, there ya have it! My first police escort :D sorta... :P

WOW that's so funny/cool! lol

I've never had a police escort. lol. Policemen are so nice, though...I'm glad you caught Valley again. What kind of fence do you have...I mean, why does she keep getting out? How does she get out? I hope she stays home now! lol :)

I have a barb wire fence. Yeah, I wish I had a different fence (ya know, without the barbs). And she keeps getting out so she can see her three horsey friends across the street.

I got to go now, cuz Chloe is not doing well at all. She is laying down, and can't get up. She's been laying down since yesterday, and when my mom gets home; we're gonna call the vet and have him come and put her down :( *cries* so sad!!!!!!!! I'll write more about it in a post, later.
