Hey ya'll!! You'll never guess what this post is about!!
Answer: VALLEY!! DUH! Anywhoo....
Today when I was taken Valley down to graze after I fed her, she pushed against me like she usually does. So I did what I usually do, and I turned her in several circles while pushing her farther away from me. When I was doing that, (she almost always does this) she tried to bite me.
So...I lunged her. She HATES lunging. And, I don't like lunging her very much either with a regular leadrope, because their too short, and sometimes Valley kicks out at me (DANGEROUS!!!). But I kept my distance. She did almost perfect when I lunged her to the left. When she did a basically perfect circle or two, I turned her in the other direction, which she did not enjoy. She'd do pretty well until one spot, she'd slow down or pull back. So when she went around again, and came to that spot, I'd tell her to trot, which actually I think made her want to stop more. But finally I got her to go around in a good complete circle. So I signaled her to stop and come to me. Then I let her eat some more grass, and put her up.

That's good, what you're doing! I don't have a real lounge line either, but I have a long rope that I just put a clip at the end of...or you can just use any long rope and tie it to her halter, because it is really dangerous for you to be so close when she kicks......just warning you. :-)
Yeah, I have a Clinton Anderson leadrope (LOONG) that I use, but I didn't have it with me.
